5548C TSG
The 5548C system provides a scalable synchronisation solution ranging from 20 unprotected up to thousands of 1:1 protected outputs.
Unparalleled flexibility
Besides ordinary output modules, any of the 10 (on TSG/SSU) or 3 (on mini-
TSG/SSU) main output slots can be equipped with time distribution modules
(NTP or IRIG-B) or with E1/DS1 re-timing modules in any combination
possible. This flexibility makes the 5548C the most versatile TSG/SSU on the marketplace.
Extreme Compactness
Each module is only 3U high, which increases the port/volume ratio and
contributes to minimise the room occupied by synchronization equipment in the already over-crowded telecom centres. With only 3U of height, the 5548C is in fact the smallest TSG/SSU of its kind in the world.
High Availability
All modules are intelligent and communicate with each other to implement a
distributed intelligence, message passing system. This approach ensures
absence of single points of failure and reliable uptime.
