Pair Gain
Verilink Pair Gain products supply voice and data services to residences and small businesses while providing telephone companies with "copper relief"-a cost-effective alternative to installing new copper cable. By installing a digital loop carrier system, companies can significantly cut both the time subscribers wait for service and the investment cost per subscriber. With Miniplex digital subscriber-line multiplexer systems, existing copper pairs can be made to carry additional lines with little or no engineering. Miniplex systems use standard 2B1Q encoding for the digital transmission. They're fully line powered from the central office-so there are no batteries to maintain in the remote terminal (RT)-and they feature environmentally sealed RTs. Miniplex systems have a compact central office configuration. They use less power than competing systems to deliver a stronger signal, and are compatible with a wider range of test systems.
